We can’t thank our presenters and sponsors enough for making this year’s virtual 2021 Mid-Year Meeting a success! We had over 400 registrants for one or more programs for our Mid-Year Meeting and all we can say is WOW!
This past year of the pandemic has been hard for everyone, for some way more than for others. And one full year into the pandemic, we would have wanted nothing more than to see you all in person, even if it meant quick chats over mediocre hotel food for 300! While everyone must certainly be missing the in-person networking that our large gatherings provide, looking at the registrations, you wouldn’t know it. We here at the VBA could feel your love and support and could see you all engaged in the programs, even if you could not see us, or each other.
The programming for our meeting was made possible because our loyal and knowledgeable presenters volunteered to share their expertise with us all, and we couldn’t be more grateful. From court hearings to fair housing, from democracy reform to e-filing, from collaborative law to bankruptcy, from ethics to wellness, from immigration to LPM tips and everything in between, we were treated to high quality programming that only our local talent could provide. So thank you presenters!
We also could not have provided the quality programming at $20 per credit hour without the generous support of our sponsors. Sponsors not only help defray our expenses, but they provide us with regular content as well as products and services geared to make your practice easier. And for this meeting, many also contributed to virtual raffle offerings, making their presence even more valuable. So thank you sponsors!
Last but not least, we want to thank every single one of our members who attended our Mid-Year Meeting. Hopefully you not only learned some things, but perhaps even connected with others or presenters during or after the events to get as much of a live feel as possible under the circumstances. We believed that the offerings were varied and current, with something for everyone, and your attendance proved us right! Before we head into summer, don’t forget we have our continuing Family Law and Dispute Resolution series webinars as well as another round of Real Estate Law Day and Procrastinators Day (with wellness, diversity and ethics offerings, of course) all via webinar.
Until we meet again, thank you all for your support.
