The VBA is Your Source for CLE
The VBA provides quality CLE programming throughout the year both via remote webinars and in-person to cover all of your educational needs. From substantive law areas to law practice management, from well-being to diversity and inclusion and from Vermont Practice and Procedure to ethics, our programming, presented to you by local leaders in their respective fields, not only satisfies your MCLE requirements but gives you the tools you need to succeed. The majority of our CLEs are taught by volunteers from our community of lawyers who will keep you up-to-date, provide you with networking opportunities and share their wisdom and their resources with you so you need look no further than the VBA for your continuing legal education. Follow the “CLE Events” calendar to check for upcoming live programs (Zoom webinars and in-person are Moderated with Interactivity) or check out our “Digital Library” menu for self-study options (Non-Moderated without Interactivity). The CLE Tracking feature in your VBA account tracks your VBA programs and allows you to manually add programs from other CLE providers. This tracking system is a convenient way for attorneys to have everything in one place. A few things to keep in mind:
- When you take a VBA program, the credits will be added to CLE Tracking according to the date of the program, or the date of purchase for Digital Library titles. This means they will likely be added to both the even year and odd year reporting cycles due to overlapping years. Since we have to push attendance through manually, sometimes there’s a delay, but we try to keep up with this daily.
- When you manually add a program from another provider, it will only show in the tracking portal you selected (not both), so you want to make sure you enter it in the correct 2-yr cycle. If you make a mistake, you can easily delete or edit your entry.
- Lastly, the information in your CLE Tracking is simply a way for attorneys to keep track of how many credits they have/need. Attorneys are responsible for reporting the information to the VT Board of Attorney Licensing when they’re up for license renewal.
