Serve the Community
Our Neighbors Need Our Help. Not everyone can afford to pay legal fees or has access to good legal advice. From low bono to pro bono, here are some ways you can put your legal training to work in volunteering to serve your community.
Attorney Well Being
Your health is important. Attorney well-being is a critical component of our duty to represent our clients with competence. Recent studies showing high levels of depression and substance abuse among lawyers compel an increased awareness of, and focus on, wellness for attorneys. We’ve included a collection of wellness resources for attorneys, paralegals, students and judges.
Vermont Bar Association Mentor Advice Program
The Vermont Mentor Advice Program is a voluntary program offered by the Vermont Bar Association, pairing new attorneys (Advisees) with experienced practitioners (Mentors) to provide guidance regarding practical, ethical and professional issues. VMAP also seeks to promote positive relationships within the Vermont bar.
