SUBJECT: Information about evidence sharing cables in Vermont courtrooms
Most Vermont courtrooms are now equipped with evidence sharing cables attached to the large freestanding Cisco TVs. These cables are meant to be used by attorneys and litigants wishing to share evidence from a digital device onto the Cisco TV screen during court proceedings. Attorneys and litigants are responsible for plugging these cables into their own devices.
The cables have four different connection types:
- Lightning
- HDMI
- USB-C
- Mini Display Port
You can view a video of how to use the evidence sharing cables at the link below. The attached document titled How to Share Content in Court also has information on using the cables.

Judiciary staff have been holding demonstrations on the cables in courthouses across the state for the past several months. These demos were meant to be opportunities for court users to bring their devices into the courtroom to try out the cables to ensure that their devices will work during court proceedings. It is highly recommended that court users test any device they plan to use to share evidence in court. Additional demos for court users may be scheduled upon request.
