The Vermont Judiciary Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion was established to identify disparities in our justice system, understand the causes, evaluate solutions, and implement changes. The Commission’s work will address disparities amongst individuals involved in court proceedings as well as internal Judiciary practices, such as hiring, training, and retention.
Forums have been held throughout the state this winter and spring and the next one is set from 4 to 5 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Windham Criminal, Family and Probate Courthouse, 30 Putney Road Brattleboro, VT. An ASL interpreter will be provided. You can also Attend remotely via Webex

The Commission, which consists of stakeholders from the judiciary, advocacy organizations, government, and the VBA (represented by past VBA president Robert Fletcher), has planned a series of Community Forums to elicit public input on the topic.
