Richard T. “Rich” Cassidy, President Elect of the Vermont Bar Association and storied Vermont attorney, has died. Rich died late on Monday, April 21, 2025, after a long illness.
Rich was not only an accomplished attorney, known and respected around the state, he was a servant of the profession. His dedication to improving the law and lawyering were equal to his impressive track record as a skilled and groundbreaking advocate.
Funeral arrangements and his obituary are in process. We will have more about Rich when we have additional information to share. For now, we wanted to express our condolences to his wife, Becky Cassidy, truly Rich’s other half, and to share the sad news with the legal community, of which he was such an important part, that our friend has left us.
