One of the main objectives for VBA president Andrew Manitsky during his tenure is to improve the atmosphere in which we all work. A first step is to get a reading on where Vermont attorneys think we are now in terms of civility and professionalism. The VBA is thus conducting a survey on civility and professionalism. You should have received an email with a link to the survey but here is another link if you missed that. The survey should take only two minutes to complete.
The survey is based, in significant part, on the 2021 and 2014 surveys conducted by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. We acknowledge with gratitude the generous assistance of Mark C. Palmer, Esq., Chief Counsel for that Commission.
The results will be shared during an ethics CLE presentation by Judge Mary Miles Teachout, Bar Counsel Mike Kennedy, and Andrew Manitsky at the VBA Mid-Year Meeting on March 31, 2023 at the Equinox Resort in Manchester, Vermont. (We will also share the results here shortly after the meeting, but we are trying to encourage you to attend!)
So please fill out the survey and make your plans to come to Manchester on March 31 to discuss the results.
